Placements are a great way to put the skills you learn on your course into practice in a real setting. They are also anÌýideal way to start growing your professional network and making new contacts.

On some of our courses, you might be required to undertake a mandatory placement of up to six weeks or a longÌýplacement, sometimes called a ‘sandwich placement’, for at least 30 weeks. If a placement isn’t a mandatory part of your course, there is the option to undertake placement weeks. On our healthcare and social work courses, practice placements are mandatory and are integrated throughout the degree.

Visit our course pages for details of placement requirements and options for each course.
